Stelthcrook
The desert biome which they live in starts as a sandy desert on the right side of the map and gently turns into a rocky one as it shifts over to the left side of the map until it hits the canyons near the west and north west areas. There are 3 main oases in the desert which are Svadhishthana(water chakra), Anahata(center chakra), and Aavaj(voice). Smaller oases pop up but never stay long. Between the farthest left reaching oases, Svadhishthana, and the canyon city, Chataan (cliff) city, are a few stone and tent cities feeding off the water supply line between the two. Where there is a water supply line there are small towns.
The government is a republic oligarchy with representatives from each big roaming clan, or guild come to meet in Aavaj to discus the state of affairs.
Most people live in open air tents made of cloth, animal hide, and the ribcage of a giant lizard. Those who can afford it get imported wood for the frame of their tents. Some places get imported rocks from Chataan to make a more permanent business and such. The richer a person is the flashier and larger their tent is. Most brick buildings are for government things like banks and taxes.
The cliffs and Chataan city buildings are built straight into the walls of the canyons like the pueblo peoples. The richer one is the farther into the cool caves they live in. The expanse of city can travel all the way up a canyon wall. There are ropes attached to the outer cave walls, for quick transport to bring in supplies from the bottom or top of the canyons, depending on how heavy it is. They have hand carved everything from the stone due to the mistrust of giant ants. After the Elephant wars they were never seen as useful in this country again.
The three oases are pretty much the same bustle of governmental buildings made of stone, surrounded by the market tents who are then surrounded by the tents of those who live there. There are all sorts of guilds and clicks that people stick to when setting up a tent depending on the color of the tent’s cloth.
The people of Stelthcrook use camels, horses, or giant bearded dragons (lizards) for transportation. Giant bearded dragons are usually used for large equipment. Because of the lack of water, camels are the most popular for long travels. Horses are usually used for within city travel.
Most food is imported. Home delicacies are fried small lizards, and fried bugs.
Fashion in Stelthcrook can be made up of two kinds of styles. Style for the sands and style for the cliffs. The style for the sands consist of layered but loose, long, sleeved robes that cover the body with hoods that cover the face from the sand. The way to tell the men and the women apart is that the women wear more flamboyant colors while the men wear lighter, subdued tones. Any accessories worn are not made of metal because of all the heat. The style for the cliffs shows more skin. The shirts are tighter if worn at all by men, and the pants and skirts are worn to about knee height. Large brimmed hats are worn instead of the hoods. They trade the sandy sandals for tougher boots for climbing.
Army: Dog sized scorpions. Boa Constrictor sized vipers and snake charmers that control them. Sniper hide under the sands for hours on end waiting to take the shot using rare guns. Big ass eagles that steal children and drop them on people.
