“Welcome to Flourishwick City Proper” the big gaudy sign read above the large road that funneled people and animals coming up the Pearl Road into the forest. This was the south entrance of Flourishwick City, one of the largest and most busy. The dry dirt road turned into a wooded incline that leads to the bridges in the trees north of the sign. There are elevators not too far off, north, into these inclines where the more ‘important’ people enter and exit to the top of the trees. Unfortunately for them, the rotation of dogs that run the elevators are on break and the next rotation won’t be there for another hour due to unforeseen circumstances. There are shops to the east and a road that further into the forest's underbrush to the west made for the construction crews.
An otter woman in a coffee colored dress with a white fur scarf slung around her neck, hangs around the shops set up for newcomers selling trinkets, food, water, and weapons for those leaving the city. Out of all the things listed, there are more trinkets being sold than anything else. Oli, the otter woman, looks bored as she scans the crowd. She looks as if she’s up to no good. But looks can be deceiving. She carries a snake coiled around her wrist and a pad of paper with her.
