Aoxnia, the country of Brass, sits on the southwestern edge of the Ascordian continent. It is named for the constellation that sits overtop of the country’s center, Aoxnius’ Hammer. The country is shaped like a Pentagon, bordered on three sides by other nations. It’s southern borders are met by the Unending seas. Notable landmarks include the cliffs of Sorvo, the Ashen Beaches, and the Flisk River.
The Country is run as a Technocracy, it’s major government positions being held by select Engineers and Scientists. Because of the countries lack of Life weavers, they have been forced to struggle against the forces of nature unlike those on the continent of Alder. This had lead to many of the countries natural resources to be exploited, leaving the once beautiful landscapes of Aoxnia to be ruined by factories and smog filled skies. It’s major exports are Technologies and Medicines, while it’s major imports are Food and Water
While it’s only natural inhabitants are humans, the unchecked scientific progress in the country has lead to rogue Automatons as well as medically engineered Hybrids. Whispers within the darker parts of the the country even hint at reanimated corpses existing, but these have never been documented by the ruling boards.
Many of Aoxnia’s people live in Urban centers styled after cities during the Industrial revolution, often being forced to live in small townhouses in residential districts. Those with wealth often live in houses with open land, often built to look as lavish and extravagant as possible, often to try and bolster themselves above their fellow elites.
The clothing is reminiscent of the clothes worn by 19th century europeans, consisting of tough materials such as Jean and Leather worn by men and workers, and more stylish and comfortable materials such as polyester and silk worn by women.
Military: The Aoxnian military is comprised of specialized Automatons armed with Brass weapons that are lead by horse mounted Captains that are often armed with steam rifles. These rifles are powered by ‘Steam Packs’ that are carried on the Captains backs, which propel Brass projectiles. These Steam Packs are also used as an energy source for the Automatons, serving as easy targets for would be attackers.
