Backstory: Alexander Tarius, once known as a renown weaponsmith in the engineering powerhouse of Aoxnia, encountered his fortune at a young age, after perfecting the smithing technique used for Brass, marketing his own line of brass blades and arrowheads, quickly outselling his competition. This success funded his endeavors into Automatory, developing enhanced chassis for the automatons being produced by the Aoxnian military by the Fortuna Brothers Metalworkings company. This left Alexander with a fortune to surpass even those in the governing body of Ingenium, the capital of Aoxnia. This all disappeared for his though after an accident caused by his own line of Automatons, known as the Proteus. The machines wrecked havoc in Ingenium, being designed to not follow Asimov's rules of robotics. This drastically reduced Alexander's once great well of wealth, as well as ruined his name in the world of metalworking. After five years of solitary living on the outskirts of the country, the Inventor finally decided to reforge his name into something better, by leaving to discover what lay beyond the great seas that bordered Aoxnia to the east. He spent much of what remained of his wealth crafting his vessel to make the Journey, a brass steamboat dubbed the 'Endearing Spirit'. With this, he set off into the vast unknown, making landfall months later on a new, unknown landmass.
